Eye Exercises for Astigmatism

Do you have astigmatism? Do you have cylindrical corrections (cylindrical diopters) on glasses or contact lenses? Then these eye exercises for astigmatism are for you. Here I will show different eye exercises that help stretch the 4 rectus muscles in the eye (superior rectus, inferior rectus, internal rectus, external rectus) that are responsible for moving the eyes up and down and left and right.

Sometimes these muscles are very tight and can be the reason we have astigmatism.

The exercises are adapted from the father of eye training, dr. William Bates.

Eye exercises for Astigmatism – Tibetan wheel to eliminate astigmatism:

Do this Tibetan wheel eye exercise 3 times a day after 2 repetitions of the exercise (eg. once clockwise, then counterclockwise).

You can get this image, Tibetan Wheel, for free on my site under the Freebies tab.

Eye exercises for Astigmatism – an easier exercise to eliminate astigmatism:

If the Tibetan wheel exercise is too difficult for you (if it’s uncomfortable), then do this easier exercise first. When it becomes too easy for you, go to the Tibetan wheel exercise above.
